Venus in Pisces: Craving A Fantasy
"Our most fiery moments of ecstasy are merely shadows of what somewhere else we have felt, or of what we long someday to feel." - Oscar Wilde
Welcome to the land of Pisces! This is the land of triumph and despair and now Venus is strolling through every fantasy and nightmare reviving the past as if it is being lived this moment and with every second, you feel something come alive within yourself, but do you want it to? let’s find out.
It’s really no secret that Pisces is a hopeless romantic, it is actually a running joke how much Pisces is associated with longing and yearning. Here, Venus is exalted in Pisces and that’s just a fancy way of saying Venus LOVES being in Pisces. English, please? yes, of course! who doesn’t love tragic love stories albeit predictable containing magnificent difficulty of space, time and social circumstances to be overcome so you could be with the person whose mere presence activates your brain like a Christmas tree and that in essence, is Venus in Pisces, the mighty powerful invisible power that brings out some of the most irrational neuropaths in the human brain. It’s inexplicable, hopeless, haunting and addictive and we crave it on a primal level more than anything. Venus loves this theatrical setting. These circumstances is where Venus finds its biggest hits (Romeo and Juliet, Dante and Beatrice, Noah and Allie) just to name a few. So you see, Pisces is just right for this mega Venus production.
Locked Out of Heaven:
Venus in Pisces is ethereal energy. It brings connections into our lives that are disarming and all about surrender. This doesn’t just happen. It takes a special kind of person to bring out those sides of us and then like any good romantic odyssey, they vanish, resist or do the pushing away dance.
The process with Venus in Pisces -especially on its route to conjunct Neptune- is to go through many ups and downs that involve the release of fear, grief and test true desire. Through that, we meet a phantom of our inner deepest desire in human form We see them not as they are but as the answer to prayers, the long awaited initiation for our passion and a proof that what we desire exists and can be mirrored.
The problem with this is often those kinds of connections take us through very intense routes of facing our own fears. It eventually pushes us to face that our fear of rejection or not being good enough for what we want and need is the driving force behind our longing.
In essence, when we find this divine love that activates us like no other, we place the people on a pedestal thinking they have something special we cannot find anywhere else and that prevents us from connecting to them as people while attaching to a fantasy of who they are.
The trick with Venus in Pisces is realizing our infatuation is because those people are mirroring to us who we are and what we already possess but had to disconnect from living out fully whether by repressing to survive or giving up on being matched or understood and they’re here for one purpose: to reawaken us fully and initiate us home into ourselves.
The Dance of Deception:
In the realm of the pedestal, we don’t tend to see how wounded our enchanting fantasies are. They cease to be people like us and crystallize as divine beings with no flaws. They seem eternally more interesting. Every moment we are with them, our nervous system is on fire, so we quietly surrender to their power to be in control and every act is holy, every reaction is justified and every flaw is our fault because we don’t measure up to them.
In the midst of this dream, we believe they’re justified in every move. On the other hand, this opens space for their internal woundedness to surface aka fear of accepting love, closeness and associating love with pain. Anxiety about not living up to the pedestal we have them on and if and when we truly see them, the love spell will magically dissipate and there comes in the first bolt of their humanity.
Full Disclosure:
A big part of the Piscean drama is redemption and that has to come after a period of inner introspection. The dance of guilt, trust and forgiveness requires a deep look into the past. Rethinking our past mistakes and the healing that has to happen for relationships to continue.
The Achilles’ heel with Pisces energy is granting forgiveness without much to deserve let alone earn it. The trouble with the granting forgiveness without much to earn it is it sets the stage for the perfect repetition of preaching our trust.
It is easy to sink into our fears at this time, blinded by the shiny light of our desires, we cannot do much of reading let along syncing with the flow of our connections. The lesson presented here is an opportunity to sync instead of mirror and to be present instead of preoccupied with being good enough for what and who we need.
A fellow Pisces in Venus here- and all I can say is WOW. It’s like taking it from within and placing it on display for it’s visual true form.
This was very informative. Thank you for the time and energy that you put into explaining this. I wonder what this means for me when Venus is in Pisces (Venus is in my first house in Sagittarius and Pisces rules my house of communication), definitely something I will ponder on. I wish you nothing but success and hope that all of your efforts return to 10-fold fruitfully.
