Venus in Capricorn: Memories of You And Me
Venus, the planet of love, comfort and pleasure has made its way to realistic Capricorn coloring our perspective of love in a serious way with a hint of nostalgia.
Venus, the brightest planet in our solar system has always been a mesmerizing mystery. It rules over the domain of the heart, the vulnerable part of us that truly wants to be connected and it dictates what we find appealing. Venus brings people together, keeps the peace and incites fires. Just like the sign Venus rules (Libra and Taurus), she is alluring, mysterious and seductive.
Venus is the mysterious force behind who we find attractive. Its main function is to help us select our mates for life. Unlike its counterpart, Mars, Venus burns bright but not hot and fast. When we make connections with our Venus, it stays for life that’s precisely why Venusian connections are once in a lifetime occurrence and that can be problematic because it brings us face to face with the question: how many people do you know who got over their first love? How do you even know it was love?
The answer is usually “you just know” that’s how you know your Venus was all in, mesmerized, captured and intoxicated with pheromones.
Every Venus sign functions differently. Cancer Venus, for example, builds its relationships on security and emotional connections while Aries Venus assesses its relationships on whether or not it is worth fighting for. What One Venus sign finds intoxication is a textbook horror story for another.
No matter what your Venus sign is, the movement of Venus in your sky colors how you see love at the moment because Venus, much like love, is fleeting and tender, simple movements could help uncover so much about what you need vs what you’re getting. Certain transits pose big questions in relationships. With that in mind, Venus just moved into Capricorn after its big opposition with Mars and that tells us that after a high, there comes real tests in relationships. Here’s what’s in store for the next two to three weeks:
We Built Sandcastles:
After the initial infatuation wears off, relationships start to show they’re serious work. Venus likes collaboration and responsiveness, so there’ a natural assumption you’re on the same page when it comes to needs and wants. Following Venus in Sagittarius with all its fairytale vibes, celebration and true emersion into one another, Venus in Capricorn poses the very serious question of whether or not there’s a true foundation to why we want to be with someone and whether or not we could collaborate with them on building a future. Is this sustainable for the long haul or was it just the initial spark?
Someone Like You:
This Venus in Capricorn transit bears quite a strong scent of nostalgia. It’s here to take us back to when we first felt we gave our all. Wide eyes with hope, we were all in, but as the story goes, it rarely ever works out how we imagine and often that leaves a very subtle mark on our hearts though very potent in future expectations of love, we’re often still weary of the same pattern repeating. The marks Venus bears are often of rejection, not feeling good enough, betrayal of trust and devaluation. This month, we are going back down memory lane of when we were forced to move on especially if we worked overtime shifts to no avail.
We Only Said Goodbye With Words:
On our journey to heal Venus, we want to restore the part of us that was all in aka the secret magic component that made this one person feel like touching heaven. We want it again, so we try to recreate them consciously or subconsciously, we want that feeling of bliss again we only had with the one that got away. In our search for the substitute, we subconsciously attempt to settle for something that might “grow on us.” Even though that trance was intoxicating, the possibility of it repeating with someone else is scary, so we settle because that allows us to still preserve the previous magic as we are still in part with the one that got away whether mentally or energetically.
We Could Have Had It All:
With every waning movement between planets, a journey into the past is initiated. With Venus waning from Mars, a process of retrieving our hearts from the past is initiated into the presence. We have to bring back the part of us that wants to be enchanted in love again. In more than one way, we are bringing back the parts of our hearts that make us whole. Those parts are the ones involved in surrendering to being loved and to loving. Feeling joy again after letting go of the ghost of an archaic love ship. Venus in Capricorn is highlighting why we still haven’t gotten over the past and how to release it with all its scars. Restoring faith in love is no feeble task, but it is the journey we are on.
