Every new year and as I gaze at the astrology of the year to come, I say a prayer in my mind. Last year, as I looked at the multiple shifts, eclipses, retrogrades and the Venus\Mars dance, I took a deep breath in knowing 2023 came here to test the fabric of our reality, our flexibility and faith and my mantra was “Grant me the silent flow of water, the flexibility of the river and the stillness of the ground.”
2023 felt like standing to face a raging sea of change. It was the best of what the universe could offer in terms of challenging growth. The tests felt like facing fate directly and I’m sure you have felt the change in your life directly.
The nodal axis in Scorpio and Taurus that shifted in July into Libra and Aries. we often think of the energy of Scorpio and Taurus in terms of sex and food, but they go deeper than that. This axis is about survival.
If you ask a particularly honest Scorpio, they will tell you the experience and thought of “power” is prevalent in their lives. So what does that mean? a lot of the time, Scorpio energy experiences loss and gain of power in a yoyoing effect and hence with the south node passing through the heart of Scorpio, we have experienced a reawakening of issues that involved survival, healing, letting go and processing grief with the task of reaching the energy of Taurus.
Taurus, as the opposite energy of Scorpio, represents stability, stillness, longevity, forgiveness and true enjoyment of our surroundings. Taurus energy likes to build while Scorpio, based in survival, often finds it best to severe all attachments.
In 2023, we were asked to pick up the pieces from a battle and rebuild. The multitasking of healing, rebuilding and reintegrating parts of us the world has wounded is surely overwhelming.
2023 was the pilot, 2024 is the finale…
With 2024, my mantra is “Grant me the courage to recognize my desires, the strength to honor them and the willpower to win this battle against all limitations ”
