Saturn In Pisces: A Test Of Faith
Saturn in Pisces is about dealing with disappointment from our elders, leaders and role models.
The lord of the rings aka Saturn is a planet about obstacles and survival. It’s known in the astrological community as he who shall not be named in vain. There is a lot of fear around Saturn and for good reason. This is a planet that rules overcoming difficult situation, but more importantly, the difficult situations themselves.
With a seven year old cycle, Saturn brings about new challenges and situations to overcome every seven years for the average Joe. At age seven, we have the first Saturn waxing square. Age 14th, the first Saturn opposition. Age 21, the first Saturn waning square. Age 28-30, your first Saturn return and so on.
Saturn, on its own, signifies the elders of a community and hence it also signifies the social status and respect those elders and role models enjoy. These are the people we go to when life is hard for wisdom and inspiration and sometimes even protection and so with every Saturn cycle, we see a new ebb and flow when it comes to those people we so highly regard.
For Saturn in Capricorn for example, around 2019-2020, we saw the collapse of greed, unresponsive or greedy role models and leaders and their corrupt structure come under fire. It was meant to reform which was the work of Saturn in Aquarius. Group leadership and organizing was the point of the next two years. To face adversity, being outcast or used by a system that inhibits one’s freedom.
and with Saturn transiting Pisces, the question that is being posed right now is what if those we hold in high regard are comprisable, corruptible and quite frankly, just not interested in offering the care or support we are in a dire need of to survive? what happens when we have to take responsibility for the mistakes of our elders even though we might have not directly committed them? what about those who have been paying the price of greed, isolation and dehumanization for decades? indeed, Saturn in Pisces is about the forgotten, the voiceless and the lies and deceit it takes for us to turn our eyes away.
Saturn in Pisces is posing the question in all of our lives about illusions we fall prey to and whether we could see beneath the surface.
Saturn is a karmic planet and it definitely serves karma to those who have been attempting to exploit the system for personal gain, hypocrites, fakers and corrupt politicians. It is pointing exactly where the system has failed us and will punish us even longer.
It’s impossible to look at the state of today’s world and miss the point. The world might fail us, but there’s a higher power refusing the injustice, affirming the right to equality and testing our conscience on the way.
